Description:
This session is focused on helping faculty navigate the waters of addressing controversial topics in their classroom. In light of the social and political unrest enveloping our nation as well as the fear and concern surrounding the global pandemic that is COVID-19, students have been asking many tough questions in the discussion boards related to religion, politics, and race relations. This session will provide best practices for faculty in setting the ground rules to ensure that all student voices are being heard as these discussions evolve.
